Prague stocks lose record 17.4% in January 2008!!!

The Prague Stock Exchange fell by 17.4 percent in January and the PX index dropped to 1,499.6 points, illustrating the value of portfolio diversification into equity indexed financial products.

U.S. designed equity indexed annuities and equity indexed life insurance provide protection from market losses. Contracts clearly state that annual earned interest cannot be negative.

Private investors and companies take advantage of only the gains realized annually in a major U.S. stock index – the Standard and Poor’s 500 Index. Much of the allure is the recognition that the S&P 500 companies are behemoths with a global footprint. In fact, many companies realize more that 50% of their annual earning from activities outside of the United States.

Many financial objectives are met by the utilization of annuities and life insurance. James Fuller, Managing Director for NALICO states, “It is time for Central Europe to make themselves aware of the creative solutions enjoyed by intelligent design of cash value equity indexed life insurance. It is no longer true that life insurance today is intended solely to provide a death benefit. Further, we believe that equity indexed annuities are an excellent mechanism to reduce market risk while strengthening one’s portfolio performance.”
